What’s new in WhatsApp Window app
Meta has recently announced the launch of WhatsApp’s new Windows app, which boasts a range of upgrades over the existing app. In a blog post, the company revealed that the new Windows app loads faster and features an interface that is more similar to the mobile app in terms of speed and appearance. Additionally, the app now supports multi-device capabilities, allowing users to access WhatsApp on their Windows PC without needing to keep their phone nearby. The new app also offers features such as link previews and stickers that are already available on the Android and iOS-based mobile apps.
Furthermore, Meta has made significant improvements to the video and voice calling feature on the platform. WhatsApp’s new Windows app allows users to host group video calls with up to eight people and audio calls with up to 32 people, similar to the limits on its mobile apps. However, the company has promised to increase these limits over time to provide an even better calling experience for its users.
Most notably, WhatsApp has introduced end-to-end encryption (E2EE) for voice and video calls on its platform. This means that all communication on the app is protected by the same encryption technique that it uses on its mobile apps, ensuring that personal messages, media, and calls are always end-to-end encrypted across all devices.
Meta want to bring more flexible WhatsApp Window
As Meta continue to increase the number of devices that support WhatsApp, Meta recently introduced a new WhatsApp beta experience for Android tablets and for Mac desktops that is currently in the early stages of beta. Meta look forward to bringing WhatsApp to even more devices in the future.
